EA have stated that the upcoming SimCity game will have support for user-created custom content and mods, however this functionality will not be available when the game launches. It will likely become available in a future patch or expansion pack.
The scope of possible customisations is still unknown. Of course; we’ll keep you posted.
How fantastic will that be. I would probably spend more hours creating content than playing the game.
