Will you buy The Sims 4? The results are in!

We ran a poll on our sidebar for the past week, asking our readers whether they will purchase The Sims 4 upon its release. Check out the results below. Statistics

One third of our visitors will purchase The Sims 4 without hesitation. 42% will consider purchasing it once it’s released and the reviews come rolling in. Only 18% of people will not purchase the new game.

Assuming The Sims 4 turns out to be a solid and quality game, our numbers suggest that up to 80% of current Sims players will purchase the new version. I’m personally astounded by these numbers: No matter how poorly EA treats its customers, we keep going back for more punishment.

  1. Okay, I bought it and today I used the trial create a Sim for Sims 4. Now I wish I hadn’t waisted my money. I am not happy about the lack of creativity I am allowed. One thing I loved about Sims 3 was being able to customize just about everything. Sims 4 seems very limited and I don’t like the cartoonish characters the game lets one make. Over all 1 – 10, 10 being best I give it it a 2 because of the lack of creativity offered to the players..

    • Hi Margaret, darn, just when I was starting to get excited about the release of the sims 4 I read you review. 🙁 What do you mean the Sims 4 is very limited? Can you still customize furniture and stuff?? That was the only thing that I liked about the sims3. I found ts3 glitchy and boring and nearly impossible to upload pictures for a story. I always had problems. I finally quit playing and still to this day play my TS2 game. No internet required, lots of custom content to upload from Mod the sims. In my opinion it is the best.
I do hope you enjoy your game though, after all you did pay for it. 🙂

  2. The sims2 is still my favorite. The sims are beautiful and the interactions are fun an interesting. I have been playing the sims for 14 years. Frankly I was extremely disappointed with the Sims 3. The sims3 are ugly, look like bloated cartoons and the game itself is boring and full of glitches. I dont like the idea of having to use Origins, it always causes problems with my computer. I should be able to buy a game, install it and play to my hearts content without having to use the internet or Origins for any reason.
I will be one of the ‘wait and see’ customers. But it is starting to look like I will not be paying $60.00 for a game that does not meet my expectations of fun.
Not only that I thought it was complete and total B.S that the Exchange was shut down the way it was. (The sims2.com) I lost a lot of stuff on that exchange and I really enjoyed writing and posting stories. The upload from the game feature was great. It took me years to learn how to upload pictures and download pictures. I tried playing the sims3 mainly so I could use the exchange and write stories, but the sims3 .com is as glitchy and ill run as the game itself. I have had stories that I worked on for days on just simply disappear and no one in tech ever bothered to help me out or fix the problem. Sooo all that said, the sims2 is still the BEST!!
